A combination of chiropractic, spot massage, stretching and acupuncture is used to rebalance the horse to affect its movement to allow it to be more effective, efficient and comfortable.
Which types of dogs benefit from chiropractic? Typical patients are performance dogs, senior dogs, injured dogs, special needs dogs, and holistically minded clients who just want their dog to have healthy biomechanics and the health benefits from being well-adjusted. Performance dogs – agility, herding, fly ball, dock diving, frisbee/disc, lure coursing, obedience, Schutzhund/IGP, conformation, and nose work.
Acupuncture & TCVM
Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) is a system of medicine that includes acupuncture, herbs and massage to bring the patient into balance allowing the body to work at its optimum. It can work in conjunction with allopathic western medicine as its focus is on body balance vs an external influence causing a problem.
Studied and became certified in veterinary acupuncture at the Chi Institute,
Dr Dan uses several techniques of acupuncture including the Balance Method which he uses in conjunction with chiropractic, traditional dry needling, and/or electroacupuncture depending on the presentation of the dog or horse and the goals of treatment.
