Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is a type of massage using instruments to break up inelastic or fibrous tissue in muscles and in the myofascia, move fluids, and relax muscles. It helps in reducing restrictions caused by scaring and tight fibrotic muscles.
Dr Dan uses tools from Rock Tape to help horses relieve their myofascial restrictions. Used in combination with chiropractic helps the horse maintain its adjustment longer and produces better quality and more efficient movement especially for older horses and performance horses.
